报告人介绍:
Prof. Dr. Andreas Hördt earned his PhD from Univ. of Cologne in 1992. From 1992-2000 he was the head of Exploration Geophysics Group at the same university. He was a research fellow at the Western Atlas in 1996, USA and was a non-permanent professor at Univ. of Bonn 2001-2005. Since 2005 he has been a full professor at Technical University of Braunschweig. During the early stage of his career, his research focussed on deep transient electromagnetic (EM) methods, with applications in the fields of volcanology, underground gas storage monitoring and tectonics. His particular interests were on data interpretation in terms of 3-D models, and on joint inversion of different EM methods. From 2000 onwards, his research interests broadened to include shallow investigations, with environmental and geomorphological applications. At that time, he also specialized in the spectral induced polarization (SIP) method. In that field, he covered all aspects, including field work, inversion, laboratory work and petrophysical interpretation, as well as simulation at the pore scale. In recent years, his interest has moved towards high-frequency IP, and the possibility to use the method in permafrost research. Another area of expertise is magnetic methods, with emphasis on three-component measurements and their interpretation.
