报告人介绍:

Stephen Hallinan: Director, Multiphysics. He obtained a degree in Geology (Dublin, 1987) followed by a PhD on geophysics of the Miravalles geothermal field, Costa Rica (UK, 1991) and did post-doc work on gravity modeling of the southern Brazilian shield (Sao Paolo, 1992-93). He joined Geosystem (Milan) in 1994 (to WesternGeco 2007), then set up Fugro EM Italy in 2011, applying non-seismic geophysics in natural resource exploration, development and monitoring projects, covering some 60 countries across the globe. Currently he leads CGG’s Multiphysics group (Milan) providing services and software for data processing and integrated 3D inversion modeling of electromagnetics, gravity, magnetics, passive seismic and geological data, across the global geothermal, mining and O&G sectors.


Alice Pavesi: Project Geophysicist. She is a member of the data analysis team of CGG’s Multiphysics group, based in Milan. The team focuses on processing and integrated modeling of multi-physics data sets for geothermal, mining and oil and gas markets. She graduated with an MSc in Telecommunications Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 2008.

Summary of the presentation: Geotools™ is a modern platform for MT and TDEM data analysis, modeling and interpretation. Multiple data types are supported and the advanced display capabilities allow for fast and interactive data and modeling result analysis. The real-time 1D and 2D inversion can run on user PC and 3D inversions can be quickly set up and run on the CGG Cloud. In this presentation we will give you an overview of the software capabilities, from MT data analysis up to 3D modeling and integration with ancillary information.
